Intel's new 34nm solid-state drives!

Intels next generation solid-state-drives are official now.
These new SSDs make use of flash memory chips made using 34nm process technology.
Older drives used 50nm chips.

This move to a finer fabrication process will allow intel to make these SSDs cheaper so the price of these new SSDs will be alot less then their equal capacity counterparts available in market now.

The 80Gb unit X-25M costs $345
But the 34nm 80Gb unit will cost $225
The 160Gb 50nm X25-M sells for $600
The 34nm unit is slated to cost just $440

These new SSDs will also perform better due to less latency times then their predecessors.
Random write performance has apparently doubled, as well.
The new X25-Ms are apparently shipping now.
